ILP (Istanbul Leather Production) was founded by the team behind Atelier Galin, a leather goods brand crafting handmade bags and accessories in Istanbul.

Over the years of building our own brand, we've developed deep relationships with Istanbul's leather goods ateliers — the small to medium workshops that specialize in handbags, wallets, and accessories. We've spent countless hours on the factory floor, learning which ateliers excel at specific products, understanding their capabilities, and building trust through repeat production.

What started as informal help for fellow founders asking "how do you manufacture in Turkey?" became ILP.

 

We realized the knowledge we'd gained — which factories to use, how to navigate sampling, realistic costs and lead times — could help other brands skip the painful trial-and-error we went through.

 

 

Today, we work with a curated network of 20+ leather goods factories across Istanbul, all of whom we've personally vetted through our own production processes. We focus exclusively on leather goods (handbags, wallets, accessories) because that's what we know. We're based in Istanbul, speak fluent English, and handle all factory communication and production oversight for our clients.

We're not a high-volume sourcing agency. We're a boutique production partner for brands that value quality craftsmanship and want a local team on the ground.
